At Constructor University, mathematics isn’t just about formulas and theory, it’s about exploring real ideas that shape the world around us. Our faculty work on exciting topics across pure and applied math, and bring that energy into the classroom every day.

Students learn modern mathematics from the ground up, get hands-on experience with modeling, simulation, and data science, and work closely with professors who support their interests and research goals.

Prof. Dr. Sören Petrat
Associate Professor of Mathematics

Prof. Dr. Sören Petrat is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Constructor University and leader of the Mathematical Physics research group. He specializes in the mathematics of quantum mechanics, especially many-body quantum physics. His research topics concern, for example, the mathematics behind Bose-Einstein condensates and other cold atomic gases.

Prof. Petrat teaches a range of courses from elementary Calculus and Linear Algebra to more specialized classes in Mathematical Physics and Financial Mathematics, bringing both theory and real-world problem solving into the classroom. His research connects abstract mathematical ideas with cutting-edge science, and he collaborates with international teams on projects that explore how mathematics describes the world at its most fundamental level.
