DAAD Prize

for outstanding achievements of international students studying at German universities 2025

The DAAD Prize has been awarded for over ten years now and comes with prize money of €1,000 per university. The aim is to make the many international students at German universities visible, connecting them with their stories. This illustrates that each international student takes a piece of Germany back to their homeland when they return and also leaves something of themselves in Germany – thus enriching both sides.

The deadline for this years’ DAAD Prize Nominations is July 4th, 2025. Only faculty members are eligible to nominate students. Self-nominations are not possible.

Nominations are to be submitted to mdieterle@constructructor.university with the following information:

Nominee name and background (full name, major, program, and country of origin)
Brief statement with student’s core achievements (academic, social, intercultural, and professional)
Student’s CV
Nomination letter on your letterhead (highlighting their achievements and why you are nominating them)
