The highlight of the intersession course “German Politics and Culture” of the Foundation Year Program at Jacobs University will be a public talk with two invited guest speakers and a discussion round with students and invited audience. The aim of this public talk and discussion is to explore diversity from different perspectives and to discuss its political as well as cultural implications for Germany in particular and Europe as a whole.

The invited talks will focus on various political and cultural aspects of diversity and examine the challenges and opportunities for German society and the European Union. The subsequent discussion round shall give the students and the audience the opportunity to interact with the guest speakers and to discuss the topic at hand.

The event is open to the public. No registration needed.
