Prof. Dr. Colin Vance
Res. IV | Campus Ring 1 | 28759 Bremen
Colin Vance received a degree in International Relations from Boston University in 1993 and a Ph. D. in Economics from Clark University in 2000. His general fields of research are energy and transportation policy, economic development, and global environmental change. His specific research interests include the application of Geographic Information Systems and spatial econometric modeling, much of which has focused on explaining land use change in Mexico based on the linkage of satellite imagery and surveys from farm households. Colin concurrently serves as a senior analyst with RWI, an economics research institute in Essen. He was previously employed with the US Environmental Protection Agency and later with the German Aerospace Centre’s Institute of Transport Studies, where he served as an economic expert on several projects funded by the European Commission.
