Gene expression changes in response to signaling cues such as stress, infection, nutrition, and circadian rhythms shape cellular responses in combination. Each cell reacts differently, depending on tissue type and signaling context. Our aim is to understand transcriptional circuits in physiology and disease and to describe the complexity of transcription factor interactions with co-regulators and the chromatin landscape using molecular biology, functional genomics, biochemistry and next-generation sequencing technologies.
