  • What first drew you to Constructor University?

Looking back I think that if it wasn't about the specialized Robotics bachelors' program I would have missed out quite a lot. Add into it the opportunities I envisioned it opening for me , especially with Germany being one of the countries where robotics is developing no other in Europe,  I was decided about the next step to take.

  • Looking back, what part of your studies lit that spark for you?

The internships and teaching assisting parts definitely. Landing three internships within three summers, along with a full-year teaching assistant posisition on my third year.. definitely sounds like ideal learning opportunities I didn't see coming my way a few years before. One also doesn't think they would be main-organsing big events until they do, and I am especially grateful for that opportunity because not many know how much I was involved in those: jacobsHack, CS and Eng. night, JSC2023, YES2024, .. While effortful they were, their rewards are lasting until today.

  • How would you describe campus life in one word and why?

Rising. It's incredible to think that most of the student body of my class would go on to become diplomats, executives in top companies, and renowned founders within a near future. Having grown and studied in Morocco my entire time before the Bachelors', the campus life experience and hugely diverse student body taught me how the world works to some extent; something only a few universities in the world know to do.

  • What’s been a defining moment in your career so far?

While I don't think my modest career can be already described as defined, many moments in the past few years marked it. Currently, I am happy to be pursuing my Masters in AI within TU Darmstadt, while on the same time working as an AI Developer and as teaching assistant within the university. On another hand, following my graduation from CUB, I was awarded a full scholarship for a research stay at The Australian Center for Robotics - within the Top 20 worldwide University of Sydney - thanks to which my research project was featured in the Australasian Conference on Robotics and Automation 2024. An achievement I am particularly proud of given the long dating ties I had with robotics since I was 12.

What advice would you give to current students at Constructor University?

Mourad_Ouazghire
I can't tell if I am a right person to be giving advice, but the motto that I personally remind myself of at least is "Aim for the moon, if you miss, you may hit a star". I think it particularly applies to the youth of my generation and before, which pushes you to take relatively high risks when it's about personal growth . In that sense, risks could range from questions such as "What if I show up to this Startup Competition with no project idea? to "Let me apply to to this top 5 ranked Uni's summer program although my chances are close to 0". It can never go wrong and chances are certain that you would only be learning from it.
