Constructing tomorrow’s leaders! The 2025 Constructor University Career Fair concludes with record attendance
The Constructor Career Fair at Constructor University in Bremen has set a new benchmark for success. With 45 companies and over 1000 students from Constructor University, University of Bremen and Hochschule Bremen, the fair broke attendance and participation records from previous fairs and provided an unmatched opportunity for career networking and professional growth.
Under the motto "Construct Your Career," this year’s fair featured a brand-new format: student-led career workshops. In total, the student volunteer team held 10 career workshops designed to equip students with invaluable insights and empower them with practical skills needed to succeed in their future endeavors. The new addition was received enthusiastically, as it allowed students to engage more deeply with industry experts and refine their career strategies.
“We were thrilled to welcome companies from so many different fields to our campus and online,” said Clementine Senicourt, Career Services and Employer Relations Coordinator at Constructor University. “Our goal is to connect our students with local, national and international companies and create opportunities for everyone involved.”
Companies from a wide range of industries attended the fair, emphasizing the significance of such events in connecting with the next generation of changemakers. "Connecting with students at this fair allows us to discover fresh talent and introduce them to the exciting opportunities we offer,” said Prof. Dr. Karsten Hiltawsky, President Corp. Technology & Innovation Dräger. “The event gave us a chance to experience the spirit of the university, connect with students directly and communicate the values we stand for." That sentiment was echoed by Lisa Körmer, Recruitment & HR Specialist Saab, "Meeting motivated students in person gives us a chance to find the best fits for our company and inspire future professionals."
After putting on last year’s Machine Learning Hackathon, Lead Data Scientist at BMW Group, and Constructor alum, Ishansh Gupta took part in his first Career Fair. “It was a pleasure to be part of the Constructor Career Fair, especially after the momentum we built with the BMW Causal Machine Learning Hackathon. We’ve already welcomed a couple of brilliant students onboard as interns, and a few more are in the pipeline to join us as soon as our current batch completes their term. It’s always exciting to see such strong talent and motivation – looking forward to deepening this collaboration!”
Swiss-based full-stack cloud platform Virtuozzo attended the Career Fair for the first time and they were “impressed by the ambition and enthusiasm of the students. Their eagerness to kick-start their careers was truly inspiring,” said Tatiana Christoforou, Senior HR Manager, Virtuozzo. “We made more high-quality connections than we expected and couldn’t recommend the event more. We are already looking forward to returning next year.” Another Swiss company, cybersecurity firm Acronis, was also on hand – albeit digitally. “Our team was thrilled to participate in the Career Fair for the third time and the online experience for the second year,” Lora Deyanova, Global Talent Acquisition Lead, Acronis. “What we value the most about this event is the opportunity to have real, meaningful conversations with exceptional talent and a diverse range of candidates who have the potential to truly enrich the Acronis company culture.”
California’s Actian, an AI-based data analytics firm, emphasized the event's value with Software Engineer Alba Lokaj noting, "The fair is a fantastic platform to exchange ideas with students and offer them a glimpse into the evolving tech industry." Cathaline Ronstedt, HR representative at the Fricke group, added that they “are always looking for innovative minds, and the Career Fair at Constructor University is the perfect place to discover and engage with highly talented individuals."
The event's record participation and strong industry engagement underscore its growing importance. Constructor University’s commitment to fostering career development and industry connections has made this career fair an essential annual event. Looking ahead, the university aims to further expand the fair, welcoming even more companies and offering additional resources to enhance students’ career readiness.
