Constructor University’s Dr. Vinaya Siby represents Bremen at the prestigious 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Constructor University continues its tradition of fostering world-class research and cross-generational scientific exchange: Dr. Vinaya Siby, a 2025 PhD graduate under the mentorship of Prof. Ulrich Kortz, was selected as the sole representative from Bremen to attend the historic 75th Anniversary Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. Held from June 28 to July 3, 2026 at Lake Constance in southern Germany, this highly competitive, invitation-only event brought together 75 Nobel Laureates and approximately 600 of the world’s most promising young scientists.

This year's anniversary meeting emphasized a deeply interdisciplinary approach, centering on four core global themes: resilience, integrity, information, and life. The intensive week-long program featured panel discussions, Synergy Talks, and dedicated networking sessions, exploring critical frontiers such as the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in research, sustainable chemistry, quantum science, and the global responsibility of scientists highlighted by the Mainau Declaration 2024.

A major highlight for Dr. Siby was the unique opportunity to engage directly with pioneering minds, including three prominent female laureates: Dr. Ada Yonath, the 2009 laureate in chemistry who also received an honorary doctorate from Constructor University in 2019; Dr. Katalin Karikó, the 2023 laureate in medicine recognized for her groundbreaking work on mRNA vaccines; and Dr. Anne L'Huillier, the 2023 laureate in physics pioneering attosecond physics.

Dr. Siby also participated in an exclusive Laureate Lunch with Dr. Robert Huber (1988 Nobel Prize in Chemistry), known for determining the three-dimensional structure of a photosynthetic reaction center.

The 2026 event concluded with its traditional, symbolic boat trip across Lake Constance to Mainau Island for the closing ceremony.
