Constructor University is pleased to announce that its President, Dr. Stanislav Protasov, was appointed as a Board Observer for the MariaDB Foundation on November 29th 2023. The MariaDB Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to overseeing the development and quality of MariaDB Server, has been a key collaborator with Constructor Group in advancing open-source solutions in the database software domain.

This partnership, now in its second year, has already yielded significant results, including joint efforts on courses integrating Constructor learning software featuring MariaDB. The collaboration has reached a new milestone with Stas Protasov joining the MariaDB Foundation board as an observer.

Protasov's expertise and experience will contribute significantly to the Foundation's decision-making processes, particularly as MariaDB embarks on an exciting new project in generative AI. This aligns well with the ongoing research initiatives at Constructor University.

“This collaboration represents a synergy between Constructor University's commitment to cutting-edge research and the Foundation's mission to advance the MariaDB Server. I look forward to sharing insights and fostering innovation in areas such as vector search and AI initiatives,” said Protasov on the new appointment.
