Jacobs University Bremen and the Schaffhausen Institute of Technology (SIT) once again present the annual international conference Insights in Technology. Between November 2022 and February 2023, the conference will take place in four different locations to celebrate the fourth edition of the conference. From Bremen to Geneva, Schaffhausen and Singapore, participants are invited to dive into this year’s topic: How technology trends are addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.

For the fourth consecutive year, SIT presents the Insights in Technology Conference 2022, a unique event gathering experts and scientists in the fields of science, education and technology. This year’s edition will take place online and on-site in various locations between November 2022 and February 2023. It will be the second time for Jacobs University to host the conference on its campus in Bremen. Registration required.

Bremen will be the first stop on November 28, 2022, welcoming highly acclaimed speakers to the stage, including Founder & Chairman of the Board of SIT and Chairman of the Board of Jacobs University Dr. Serg Bell, as well as Jacobs University President Fabio Pammolli. Further sessions will be led by Professor Rino Rappuoli, Chief Scientist & Head of External Research and Development at GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines, who will talk about the extensive efforts in biotechnology. Keynote speaker Dr. Wolfgang Wahlster, Founding Director of the German Research Center for AI (DFKI), will examine the depth of and advances in Artificial Intelligence.

Professor Serguei Netessine, Senior Vice Dean for Innovation and Global Initiatives at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, will close the plenary sessions by elaborating on business and technology transformation. Several invited speakers will join the sessions, including Dr. Mikhail Lukin, Co-director of the Harvard-MIT Center for Ultracold Atoms. On-site participants will be offered several networking opportunities, such as a partner exhibition and tours of the university campus and laboratories.

“We are proud to be hosting this prestigious conference once again. It allows our university to gain international exposure and enables our community to engage with highly respected experts and discuss current topics”, Pammolli said. Last year, the two-day conference brought together close to 3,000 participants from around the world, online and in person on the campus of Jacobs University.

Following Bremen, the conference will move to Geneva two days later and will continue in Schaffhausen, as well as Singapore, in February 2023. The Insights in Technology conference 2022 offers participants a unique opportunity to expand their professional network by connecting with world-class industry leaders, entrepreneurs, students, and a wider audience from around the world who share a common interest in science and technology. The conference is free of charge, and it is available online and in person.
