International college counselors visit Jacobs University

Jacobs University recently welcomed college counselors from a number of international schools on campus. Assisting high school and college students in their search for the right university, the 25 counselors from 13 countries spent three days at Jacobs University and took part in an extensive program to get to know the private university, its neighborhood and the City of Bremen.

During a welcome dinner on the first day, the counselors were introduced to Jacobs University students at College Nordmetall.

After a student-led campus tour the following day, the counselors were welcomed by the admissions team and got to know some of the faculty members, alumni and the leadership of Jacobs University – Prof. Dr. Michael Hülsmann, Managing Director and Prof. Dr. Werner Nau, Dean Undergraduate Education.

At the weekend, the guests joined the participants of this year’s Spring Open House event.

Perry Sein from Wuxi Taihu International School in China said about the visit: “Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany prepares outstanding global citizens with their solid academic programs in a nurturing environment that inspire the world's leaders of tomorrow.”

Dr. Freia Hardt, Head of Academic Management and Business Operations UGE, said: “Jacobs University has established a great relationship and always been working closely with college counselors from a number of different countries. We appreciate their support in recommending Jacobs University to their high school students.”
