May 18, 2017
Their motto is: “Show the world a real China, and show China a real world.”
Global China Connection (GCC) is a nonprofit organization for university students and young professionals of all nationalities looking to engage China’s emergence in the world. The network currently consists of 70 chapters at universities around the world.
At the GCC Global Summit at Cornell University in the USA the Chapter at Jacobs University, only founded in 2016, received the diversity award – together with Canterbury University und Vanderbilt University. “We are very glad that our diversity feature has been recognized and appraised in the international level”, says Celeste Li, Co-Founder of the student club at Jacobs. The award was received by Jacobs-alumna Fiona Harnischfeger, who is currently pursuing her PhD at Cornell.
