As the foremost international higher-education institute in Germany, Jacobs University consistently achieves excellent ratings among university rankings: What is it like to study at a world-renowned English-speaking campus university, together with students from over 110 nations? What are the requirements and courses of study? How are the facilities? Jacobs University professors, students, and staff will provide information about this at the Virtual Open Week from October 25th to 29th.

The five days are the perfect opportunity for prospective students to get their own impression of Jacobs University - and to do so from home. There they can learn more about Bachelor and Graduate Programs or even the International Foundation Year Program, an orientation and preparatory year for those who are still undecided. Whoever stops by the virtual events will get information about all study programs at Jacobs University.

In addition, professors will give a discussion on selected topics from their teaching area at interactive lectures. Information will also be provided about career opportunities, scholarships and financial support, and one-on-one meetings with student counselors are also available. Interested parties are asked to register in advance for the respective events.

Participants can see for themselves, in the form of a virtual tour just how diverse and extensive the university campus is, which covers more than 34 hectares, with its laboratories along with its research, leisure, and sports facilities.

In addition, there is the possibility to get further information and to ask questions on Instagram Live, which will provide parents and prospective students the opportunity to connect directly and openly with representatives from different fields of the University. For example, one of the live sessions on social media will be hosted by the department Campus Life, which will dive into extracurricular aspects of life at Jacobs University that enrich the learning experience – aspects like the numerous events organized by the students, the diverse student clubs on campus, or the different colleges available for accommodation. Studying is not just about gaining a degree, it has many facets - at least this is the case at Jacobs University.
