Community & Events
Community & EventsThe Student Engagement and Well-being Team empowers students to thrive by fostering inclusive opportunities for personal growth, meaningful connections, and lifelong learning. By creating platforms for arts & culture, sports, health, and competency building, the team contributes to a secure, inclusive, and enriching intercultural community. Several Student Assistant teams support the Student Engagement and Well-being Team by running services and venues offering spaces and opportunities for the entire community.
Community Events are an important part of our vibrant student life on campus. They are open to everybody to join—be it as an active participant or a spectator. Many of those events have a long tradition such as “ArtOn!” and the “Uni Games”.
All of them are led by our very own Constructor students; they are the perfect opportunity to make a project come to life, learn and grow working together in a multicultural team.
Talent Shows, Concerts & Performances
There are many ways for students to show their talent during (talent) shows, live music events and other performances. DanceStoned, Spotlight and Fortissimo are some of the highlights happening throughout the academic year. Our art clubs i.e. Campus Crew (Dance), Music Club practice the entire semester to share their performances with the entire community.
Cultural Celebrations & Themed Bar Nights
The Constructor campus is the perfect place to experience a huge variety of cultures and their traditions. Cultural clubs and associations invite to celebrate together i.e. Holi, Diwali, Thanksgiving, Iftars and many more.
Weekly Bar Nights at TOS Bar often come with a special theme like Halloween, Valentine’s or Art Night and bring together students of different backgrounds and interests.
Community Competitions (ArtOn! & Uni Games)
Two Community competitions bring together students at the beginning of each semester: Sporty fun games at “Uni Games” in September and the artsy competition “ArtOn!” every March. Colleges and off-campus students show off their team spirit and sportsmanship to bring home their famous community trophies.
Sports Competitions
At Constructor, students also host a range of sports competitions and home games on campus, offering the community lively opportunities to participate or cheer on their teams. Not only do the Varsity Clubs compete with other universities or in the local league, but other competitive sports clubs also travel to international tournaments, such as the annual PCU Games in Antwerp (Belgium).
Conferences & Talks
Student-led conferences, competitions (i.e. Hackathons) and talks have a long tradition at Constructor. Most of them are organized by student-led clubs to provide a space for exchange, networking, personal and professional development. The Start-up competition “Young Entrepreneurs Summit”- - formerly named Jacobs Start-Up Competition was founded in 2018 and provides a platform for young start-ups from all over the world.
The Investment Banking & Capital Markets Society hosts “FinCon” every Spring semester.
