New Identity for Beyond the Pond, New Bricks on the Alumni Path

One of the highlights of the Alumni Homecoming weekend was the opening of the upgraded Alumni Brick Path, featuring new informational signs highlighting the alumni community, along with the newest bricks added to the path.

For those who may not be familiar with the tradition, the Alumni Brick Path gives alumni and friends the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on campus. Donors are eligible for a personalized brick once they have made lifetime donations of €1,000 or more to either the Alumni Association or the Constructor University Foundation of America.

Over the years, the path has grown with our community. The names on the bricks represent alumni from different generations and different chapters of the university’s history. Some studied at IUB, others at Jacobs University or Constructor University. While the names, years and experiences may be different, they all belong to the same alumni story.

This is what makes the introduction of the new Beyond the Pond Alumni Association identity particularly meaningful.

The new identity brings these different chapters together under one name and one visual identity. The logo combines the pond, duck, flight path, airplane and Bremen Stadtmusikanten, connecting our roots in Bremen with the international paths our alumni have taken after graduation.

The Brick Path is a physical record of the people who have shaped our alumni community over the years. The new Beyond the Pond identity builds on that history and brings the different generations and chapters of our community together as we move forward.
