What is Erasmus+?
"ERASMUS+" — the EuRopean Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students — is a project for the enhancement of academic exchange within the European Union (EU). "ERASMUS+" fosters the exchange of students of all degree cycles, faculty, and staff. The 27 EU member states as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Turkey are part of the "ERASMUS+" program.

General Information
The current generation of the Erasmus+ program began in 2021 and runs through the end of 2027. This program generation combines a high degree of continuity with programmatic innovations. While many of the familiar funding lines will be retained, new funding lines have been added and the program structure adapted. At the same time, the EU Commission has set Digitalisation and Social Inclusion as new priorities for this program generation. The European Commission has awarded Constructor University with the Erasmus University Charter for the duration of the program (2021–2027) in accordance with its European Policy Statement. Constructor University's Erasmus+ institutional code is D BREMEN09.
Students, Faculty and Staff
All undergraduate students and employees at Constructor University are eligible to apply to take part in the ERASMUS+ Program. Erasmus+ supports the international learning mobility of individuals within the framework of Key Action 1 (KA 1). Mobility grants can be used for study, research, training, and teaching purposes (incoming and outgoing) and are aimed at students (bachelor's, master's, PhD candidates), teachers, and academic and non-academic university staff.
At Constructor University we have 2 main ERASMUS+ Projects: KA 131 and KA 171.
ERASMUS KA 131
ERASMUS KA 131 is the classic individual mobility program that focuses primarily on the sending of staff, faculty and undergraduate students on mobilities within the ERASMUS Partnership Countries. Students can participate in internships or academic mobilities for either a semester or for Short Term Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) for ECTS.
ERASMUS KA 171
In addition to traditional mobility between universities in program countries, KA 171 or the International Credit Mobility Program offers the possibility of mobility with non-European partner universities since 2015. The Erasmus KA 171 is for specific individual staff, faculty and student mobilities outside of the EU. The program supports European universities to establish mobility agreements with partners worldwide to send and host faculty staff and students. Students can study abroad and receive an Erasmus+ scholarship for living expenses and travel costs. Staff can teach abroad and/or undergo training and receive an Erasmus+ scholarship.

Top-up for fewer opportunities: +€250/month (if applicable). Both students and staff receive a travel lump sum based on distance. If the travel allowance does not cover at least 70% of real travel costs for sustainable travel, participants can be reimbursed 80% of the real costs. The application must be justified by the applicant and approved by the national agency.
