Constructor University and the Constructor University Foundation of America (CUFA) are proud to announce Pranav Satish and Kaushtuvi Thapa as the recipients of the prestigious 2026 CUFA Scholarships. Satish has been awarded the Claus Halle Scholarship, while Thapa receives the Ronny Wells Scholarship. They were chosen for their outstanding academic merit, leadership potential, and commitment to driving positive global change. The annual awards highlight CUFA's ongoing mission to support top talent in pursuing rigorous, transdisciplinary education at Constructor University.
Overcoming borders through collaboration: Pranav Satish
The 2026 Claus Halle Scholarship recipient, Pranav Satish, embodies the global citizen mindset championed by Constructor University. Having grown up between California and Berlin, Satish developed a cross-cultural perspective early on that directly influences his academic and collaborative endeavors.
Satish has consistently sought out opportunities to apply his skills for the collective benefit of his peers. Throughout high school and his time at Constructor University, he has actively engaged in peer tutoring across multiple subjects. His commitment to technical teamwork was recently highlighted during a data science bootcamp in Berlin. There, Satish collaborated with a specialized team to develop a machine learning model designed to provide targeted medicine recommendations to support medical professionals.
"Beyond the technical challenges, the project strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, share responsibility, and work toward a common goal," Satish said. "I am honored to receive the Claus Halle scholarship. It will help me to continue to develop my technical abilities at Constructor and work collaboratively on projects in my field while contributing to the university community."
Cultivating well-being and community: Kaushtuvi Thapa
Receiving the 2026 Ronny Wells Scholarship is Kaushtuvi Thapa, an aspiring psychologist pursuing her undergraduate studies at Constructor University. This scholarship was founded in honor of Ronny Wells, who has dedicated his career to bridging cultural gaps and establishing strong, interconnected communities.
Thapa’s research interests in cognitive biases and social cognition are deeply rooted in her Hindu upbringing, which profoundly influenced her beliefs and identity. Her commitment to community action took shape during high school while mentoring youths from under-resourced schools in Nepal. Witnessing how surroundings influence emotional and mental well-being, she launched community outreach initiatives, including education programs and donation drives for underprivileged children. At Constructor University, Thapa continues this legacy of unity through her active involvement in the South Asian Student Association, fostering a sense of belonging and home within a diverse student body.
"Receiving the Ronny Wells Scholarship not only supports my academic journey by alleviating my financial constraints but also reinforces my commitment to my studies and community initiatives. Being recognized for my efforts motivates me to continue pursuing opportunities that combine my academic interest in human behavior and contributing more to my community."
