Dual degree: Constructor University signs agreement with Eastern Mediterranean University
Constructor University further strengthens its international ties with new memorandum of understanding. Bachelor's students at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in Famagusta, Cyprus, will soon be afforded the opportunity to complete a second degree at Constructor University as part of their business administration studies. This new development was formalized in a recently concluded agreement between the two universities.
One study program, two degrees - that is the basic idea behind dual degree programs, which further improves the qualifications of graduates. Students of Business Administration and International Trade and Business first complete their Bachelor's degree at EMU before transferring to Constructor University for a year to complete their second Bachelor's degree.
“This is an exciting development for Constructor University as it enables us to streamline the recruitment process of highly qualified, largely international students. These students will therefore bring senior experience as well as broader perspectives to our university, thus raising the overall standard of the class to the benefit of our students,” says Prof. Dr. Thomas Auf der Heyde, Managing Director and Vice President International Outreach at Constructor University. This is poised to be the first such agreement in place to support students at Constructor University pursue various fields of interest. ”Further dual degree programs are planned with other universities, meaning that soon students here in Bremen will have the opportunity to complete a dual degree elsewhere,” Dr. Auf der Heyde said.
The dual degree agreement between Constructor University and EMU extends for five years and could be extended to include other subjects in the future.
