Student Welfare Support
Student Welfare SupportStudying at an international university is an exciting and rewarding experience, but it can also come with challenges. With students from more than 120 countries, our community is incredibly diverse, and it is completely normal to experience difficulties at different stages of your university journey. These may relate to your health, wellbeing, finances, relationships, social adjustment, or other personal circumstances. Sometimes these challenges can also affect your studies, and sometimes you may simply not know where to start to get help.
Our Student Welfare Team is here to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk through your concerns. We offer impartial, student-centred support, helping you explore your options, build on your strengths, and connect you with the most appropriate resources and services both on and off-campus. Whatever you are facing, you do not have to navigate it alone. We are here to help you find the right support.
Our Student Welfare Policies are designed to promote a safe, healthy, and supportive environment where every student can thrive. As an international university community, we recognise that students come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. These policies set out our shared expectations, outline the support available to you, and explain how we work together to safeguard the wellbeing of our community.
The policies cover key areas including the Constructor Community Standard, Student Welfare, Alcohol, Substance Misuse, and Support for Students Under the Age of 18 (Minors). They provide guidance on student responsibilities, the University's duty of care, and the procedures in place to help protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students.
We encourage every student to become familiar with these policies. They are intended not only to clarify expectations but also to ensure you know where to find support and what to expect should you or someone else need assistance during your time at the University.
Your safety and wellbeing are our priority. If you experience a medical, health, safety, or security emergency while on campus, support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our trained on-call staff are available around the clock to respond to emergencies, provide immediate support, assess the situation, and coordinate with emergency services or other University teams when required. Whether you are experiencing a medical emergency, a mental health crisis, or another urgent situation, you are not alone.
If you or someone else requires immediate assistance, call the 24/7 Campus Emergency Number:
If there is an immediate threat to life or a serious emergency, contact the local emergency services first, then notify the University using the emergency number above so we can provide additional support.

The goal of our service is to actively assist students in resolving existing problems, preventing potential problems, and developing new skills that will enrich their lives and help to cope with challenges.
Our services for students include psychological counseling, life coaching, mediation, support groups, workshops, awareness campaigns, and many more interesting offerings. All our services are free and confidential.
