Our Blog writer - Akousa Enam

Meet Akousa Enam Zigi (Class of 2026)

Beginning with yours truly, I’m an International Relations: Politics & History (IRPH) major from Ghana. However, I’m also lucky to have Senegal as my second home, a place that has shaped the way I understand culture, community, and identity. Regarding campus life, I’m a proud Nordie. I’ve always loved writing because I've always loved reading as a kid. I’m really grateful to use my hobby to create something useful to others, especially content that students can relate to. You’ll find me writing about useful guides and tips on the blog, usually inspired by things I wish I’d known earlier. My favorite contribution, however, must be my Your Major, Your Club series where I match majors to one or two of the several extracurricular clubs on campus. Beyond writing, I’m a huge nerd, something I share with my coworker Yvette. I love watching anime and participating in fandoms. When I’m not watching anime, I’m either reading manga or annoying my friends with my plethora of meme references.

Yvette Monari (Class of 2027)

Yvette, my fellow nerd, is a graduate student from Kenya studying Data Science. She lives off campus. Her blog posts are great because they’re about graduate student life, a part of the student body that often goes ignored. Through her blog posts, she sheds light on aspects of graduate life that aren't often discussed, making her perspective refreshing and important. When she’s not writing, she’s either watching anime or reading manga. The genre, I cannot say because that’s a secret and would expose me too. What I can say, though, is that her dedication to nerd culture is unmatched. When she’s not watching anime, she’s listening to K-pop. BTS, TWICE, ENHYPEN, you name. She’s so passionate about it that she made a presentation about it in high school. That’s dedication I admire. When she’s not nerding out, she’s traveling around Germany and taking in new sights, exploring different cities, and fully embracing the adventure of living somewhere new.

Siwoo Lee (Class of 2026)

Our final team member is Siwoo! A Korean citizen born and raised in Sri Lanka, which already tells you how well he fits into Constructor University's diverse, international environment. His unique background gives him a perspective on identity, belonging, and culture that shines through in his writing. He discovered his passion for writing in high school, taking a creative writing course. His blog posts focus primarily on his experiences as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) and on practical guides for uni students. Through his writing, he captures what it feels like to grow up between cultures and navigate spaces that don’t always feel like they're fully yours. When he’s not writing, you can find him playing video games, playing the guitar, or sometimes watching anime. While he’s not part of campus life anymore, he’s a proud former Mercatorian.
