November 25 - December 25: Weihnachtsmarkt

The time has come when the Bremen Town Hall and Roland statue turn into a wonderful Christmas market, where seasonal delicacies such as cheese and ham filled Handbrot, Kartoffelpuffer with applesauce, and candied nuts for those with a sweet tooth. Christmas is all about spirit, and without decorations, gifts, and crafts, it would not be complete. More than 170 stalls that offer different services were embellished with lights and ornaments which enhanced the festive atmosphere. Students went with their loved ones to celebrate Christmas before going back home to their families, enjoying the jolly Christmas feel.

November 29 - December 1: BMW Hackathon

For those interested in casual machine learning, an intense three-day competition organized by a collaboration by BMW experts and Constructor University faculty was held to enhance real-world problem-solving skills with the use of advanced data science techniques. Students got the chance to have hands-on experience with industrial datasets and were part of mentorship sessions with the industry experts. The top performing teams gained a lot of recognition and networking opportunities valuable for their future careers and university experience.

December 9: Examinations Begin

December is not all about Christmas, in fact it rings a bell in student’s heads and reminds them of exam season! Yes, it is a very rigorous and stressful time. The students engaged in group study sessions, met with their professors, and spent endless nights preparing well for the exams and projects they had due, however the hard work that they put in always pays off. The first day of examinations was a testament to the students' dedication and hard work in preparing for their future.

December 16: Breathing and Meditation Class

The focus on one’s mental peace is of utmost importance. Incorporating mindfulness into your daily routine can change your life especially during exam season, therefore breathing and meditation classes were provided for all students. With guided breathing exercises and meditation techniques for deep relaxation and mental clarity, a peaceful environment was created for re-centering.

December 16: Winter Festival

At the end of an eventful winter semester, Constructor University hosted its annual Winter Festival, bringing students, faculty, staff, and guests together for a festive end-of-year celebration. Funds were raised through food and drink vouchers included in the tickets, helping to support the “Make a Wish” campaign which provides gifts for underprivileged children. This ensured the delightful experience the Christmas spirit brings, while also giving the students a break from the hefty exam season.

The semester wrapped up with the merry Winter Festival, bringing students together one last time before the holidays. With exams behind them and memories made, they left campus ready to embrace the festive season and start a happy new year!
