Constructor university is legally bound to the BSAG/VBN semester ticket contract and thus, a dispensation can only be granted for the predetermined reasons, as stated in the contract.
You may apply for semester ticket dispensation only if:
- you are doing an official study abroad/internship semester, outside the semester ticket area (no leave of absence)
- you are required by a company, research facility, etc., to spend more than 120 consecutive calendar days outside the semester ticket area, for mandatory study purposes
- you have a handicap pass (Schwerbehindertenausweis) and are eligible for free transportation
Please note that if your dispensation is granted you will not be charged with a semester fee charge (university fees still apply) and you will not receive a semester ticket. It will not be possible to receive it at a later moment in the semester, even if you had to return to Bremen and need your semester ticket.
