Who can join?

High school students aged 16-20 who: 

  • Are participants of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI), and similar international competitions.
  • Are preparing for national and international competitions in informatics.
  • Have demonstrated prowess in competitive programming.
     
Camp program
Every day at the camp is packed with engaging activities, including:

> Social events offering networking opportunities among top students from around the globe
Schedule
Our schedule is designed for maximum learning and enjoyment, and might slightly change if/when necessary:

> July 30: Arrival Day
> July 31 - August 3 - Classes
> August 4: Excursion day
> August 5-8: Classes
> August 9: Departure day
Fees
Constructor University and JetBrains Foundation will cover:

> Academic program
> Accommodation

Please note that: Visa fees, travel tickets to the location, health insurance, and pocket money are not included. Payment methods will be communicated via email to invited participants.
Accommodation
Location: Q-Resort Hotel, Strada Valea Largă 57, Săcele 505600, Romania (30 min by car from Brașov).
Social events
We have plenty of refreshing activities in the afternoon and relaxing social events in the evening to help you unwind after a day of learning.
Excursions
Explore Romania's rich cultural heritage and natural wonders with guided excursions. Immerse yourself in the local community and soak up the sights and sounds of the city.
ACTS

Our camp in Romania offers a comfortable stay for all participants. You will stay in designated 2 or 3-bedroom apartments, fostering an ideal environment for both learning and forging social connections. Daily meals will be served in the cafeteria, offering a wide range of international cuisines to suit all tastes!

International Students:
On arrival and departure days, all international participants will be met at the Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport. For early arrivals or late departures, please arrange your own hotel booking and transportation.

Romanian Students:
Transportation will be provided from Brasov Central Station to the hotel on arrival day and back to the station on departure day.

Once you have been accepted and confirmed your participation in the Summer Camp, please review the visa conditions. To determine whether you require a visa, please refer to the website here.  If you need a visa, we will provide you with an admission letter to the Summer Camp which you can include in your visa application.

How to participate
  1. Step 1: Register
    To participate, you must register before 23:59 (UTC) on May 11, 2024 and fill out this short knowledge survey so we can refine our topic list to best match participants’ skill levels. 
    Please note that applicants who have not completed the survey cannot qualify to participate in the camp.
  2. Step 2: Participate in the entrance contest
    By May 6, you’ll receive a link to the entrance contest and all details regarding it. You can begin solving the problems anytime between May 6 and May 12. You must submit your answers before 23:59 (UTC) on May 12, 2024. Please be aware that meeting the minimum knowledge requirement is necessary to qualify.
  3. Step 3: Receive an invitation to the camp
    Invitations to the ACTS Camp in Romania will be based on performance in the entrance contest and personal profile, including academic achievements and knowledge survey.
  4. Step 4: Secure your spot
    Secure your spot by signing all the required documents.
  5. Step 5: Prepare for your trip
    Plan your trip and book the tickets. Please check the entry requirements to Romania, as you might need a visa.
  6. Step 6: Give it your all and have fun!

Yes, all participants will receive a certificate of participation.

You can use any language supported on the Codeforces platform.

Following registration, you will receive a link to the entrance contest. You can begin solving the tasks between May 6 and May 12, 2024 at 23:59 (UTC). Invitations to the ACTS Camp in Romania will be based on performance in the entrance contest.

All camp participants are expected to remain at the venue throughout the program, with exceptions made for scheduled excursions. Daily meals will be provided. The venue’s address is Q-Resort Hotel, Strada Valea Largă 57, Săcele 505600, Romania (30 min by car from Brașov).

If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later from the location, please contact us via email as soon as possible to discuss your request.

The camp is free of charge for invited participants. Academic program, accommodation, meal plan, and transportation is covered by Constructor University and supported by JetBrains Foundation. Payment methods will be communicated via email to invited participants before the camp begins. Please note that students are responsible for expenses such as visa fees, airline tickets, health insurance, and pocket money.

To determine whether you require a visa, please refer to the Romanian Entry Requirements.

Once you have been accepted and confirmed your participation in the camp, please review the visitor visa requirements on the Romanian Embassy website. We will provide you with an admission letter to the Summer Camp, which you can include in your visa application. Please note that participants are responsible for obtaining their visas.
