Packing can seem like a hassle, especially having to pack for university. But never fear! Here is a list that our students put together to help you pack what you will need, and to hopefully might make life a bit simpler.
Items to bring with you
Everyday attire (jeans, t-shirts, shorts, shoes)
Sweaters, hoodies, winter jackets, boots, scarves, sweatpants, cardigans, and other articles that will keep you warm
Socks and underwear
Some formal outfits (blazers, formal dresses)
Some form of traditional attire
‘Going-Out’/ Party clothing
Workout clothing
Your favorite books (I know this is a bit of a stretch, but I can’t go anywhere without books, but if you have a Kindle, then you're saved)
All your sentimental items that will keep your heart warm in the times of home-sickness
Must Haves
Passport(s)
Insurance information (example: travel insurance, confirmation from German insurance company, insurance card)
Other forms of identification (example: driver's license, residence permit)
Emergency contact information
Medical documents
School stuff (original final school transcripts and high school diploma)
Bank information
Copies of ALL aforementioned important documents (bring at least 2 copies of your passport)
Cell phone and laptop with their respective chargers
Kindle (If you have one)
Some cash for emergencies (we use Euros here)

Toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, body wash and the likes)

Bedding (200cm x 90cm)
Pillow Covers (80cm x 80cm - yes, they are large squares)
