How To Stay Healthy During Lockdown

How To Stay Healthy During Lockdown

Health has never been seen as more critical than it is in the present period for it is incredibly easy to lose track of time and drift into an unhealthy frame of mind during a lockdown. To keep yourself happy and healthy at home all day long, here are some ideas to boost your well-being:

 1. Get in a routine as soon as possible

It’s of utmost importance that you get your routine fixed as soon as possible.

Even though, sometimes, it might not be a reason to get out of bed, do it anyway. Structure your day in order not to end up spending all day on the sofa or lying in bed.

2. Learn how to cook and eat healthily

The temptation to simply grab a packet of crisps and call it dinner is intense, of course, but when will you have more time than in right now - under a strict lockdown - for proper cooking? It doesn't need to be a five-star meal; maybe something simpler, as long as it's healthy.

3. Learn something new

Cooking shouldn’t be the only thing you learn this lockdown. You have the perfect opportunity to learn something you always wanted to learn but never had a chance to. Pick up that guitar you never had the chance to play, learn a new language - maybe just try learning German wholeheartedly for once, or buy yourself a good book to read. There are a thousand things you can do instead of just lying in your bed.

4. Exercise on a daily basis

You do not need heavy weights to have a good workout session nor do you need any professionals fixing your posture. We live in the information era where everything you want to learn is free. Several YouTubers upload free workout plans and diets on their pages. There are videos on strength training, cardio, yoga, and dance workouts. This is the time for you to glow.

5. Get at least six to seven hours of sleep

Sleep is one of the important functions that allow your mind and body to recharge, refreshing you for whatever life has for you in the coming day. It helps the body remain healthy, so much so, it helps stave off diseases.

One should never underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep, especially in times like these when the environment around us is somewhat depressing and slow. It is recommended that adults sleep for at least six to seven hours per night. Why not make it eight during quarantine?
