Physics Colloquium: Prof. Dr. Georges Bouzerar
Thermoelectric materials are opening a promising pathway to address the energy conversion issues. Their exploitation in real devices is still a great challenge and requires the search for optimal materials that exhibit simultaneously a sufficiently large electrical conductivity, a large Seebeck coefficient and a low thermal conductivity as well. This set of apparently conflicting requirements pushes for new strategies in the quest to unearth these special compounds. We present a study that combines both theory and measurements to address the thermoelectric properties of electron doped SrTiO3 (STO). For more details click here.
