Jacobs University Bremen: It is one of the most international universities in Germany with students from over 110 countries. In university rankings, it repeatedly occupies top positions and paves a path for global careers for its graduates. Admission to the prestigious institution is therefore no easy feat, however starting in fall 2022, the English-language Jacobs University will award two students – one bachelor and one master student – scholarships of 60,000 euros and 40,000 euros respectively. The application deadline is April 1, 2022.

One student who is already benefiting from the funding is Nikol Kripa, who is studying chemistry and biotechnology, one of the 15 bachelor's degree programs at Jacobs University. She particularly likes the fact that students have the opportunity to do research at a very early stage and can also prove themselves in another field by choosing a minor. "With a bachelor's degree from Jacobs University, I will receive a high-quality education that will enable me to have a good professional future," she is certain.

Nikol is from Albania, and the scholarship is aimed at both German and international students. Central criteria for the award are outstanding academic performance, but also intellectual creativity, extracurricular involvement, an openminded attitude, and a strong motivation to make a difference in the world. The scholarship covers all tuition fees; however, additional costs are incurred for room and board. All successful applications for a degree program at Jacobs University will be considered for the selection.

Applicants can expect a challenging academic level coupled with a vibrant, international community. Jacobs University's goal is to shape young, talented people into global citizens regardless of nationality, religion, or material circumstances through academic education, intensive mentoring, and living together on an international campus. As part of the “campus university” model, undergraduate students studying at Jacobs also live in one of four colleges on campus, which in turn becomes a place of inspiration and their "home away from home".
