Company founders and social responsibility: Invitation to a symposium at Jacobs University Bremen
September 16, 2019
Today's founders no longer strive primarily for profit. The sustainability of their actions as well as the social and ecological impact are often just as important to them. This development will be discussed at the Jacobs University Career Symposium on 20 September at 6:30 p.m. "Starting-up with Social Responsibility: Ethical Dimensions of Entrepreneurship" is the theme. Guests are very welcome.
The keynote speaker of the evening will be Dr. Marlen de la Chaux, an alumna of Jacobs University and Technical Officer at the International Labour Organization of the United Nations in Geneva. At the subsequent panel discussion the Startup Consultant Helge Hußmann from Starthaus Bremen and Dr. Tilo Halaszovich, Professor of Global Markets & Firms at Jacobs University, will among others participate.
The symposium is organized by the Career Services Center of Jacobs University and is part of the annual alumni homecoming. This year, alumni of three graduating classes return to Bremen, coming from all over the world. For company representatives, especially startups, the symposium offers the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with Jacobs’ alumni and students.
