Bridging the natural, behavioural and social sciences, engineering and computer sciences, as well as the humanities, ISRE was founded in 1984 and brings together scholars from different disciplines across the world. In his presidential symposium, Prof. Kappas raised the question, whether the “golden age” for research on emotion is over given that emotion research is now fully integrated in many scientific disciplines. He discussed with leading scientists in Philosophy, Informatics and Neuroscience the importance of interdisciplinarity in emotion research.
