Constructor University student Camila Velez Martinez is the 2024 recipient of the prestigious DAAD Award
Handed out once every year by Constructor University, the prestigious DAAD award (German Academic Exchange Service) recognizes excellence in academic achievements and an outstanding commitment to social engagement. This year, International Relations: Politics and History student Camila Velez Martinez received the award during the Annual Opening Ceremony in Bremen.
Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Martinez is a third year International Relations: Politics & History student currently studying abroad at Sciences Po in Reims, France. Martinez was nominated for the 2024 DAAD prize by Dr. Marco Verwji, professor of political science at Constructor University, and by adjunct professors Dr. Hauke Laackmann and Professor Dr. Class Knoop, further underscoring the fact that Martinez is a deserving recipient of the award.
The prestigious DAAD prize is synonymous with character and excellence in and out of the classroom and has been awarded to international students at German institutions for the past decade. With a 1000 EUR prize, the award targets individuals with extraordinary social engagement and excellent academics and just one student is selected per institution, per year.
Constructor University would like to extend its heartfelt congratulation to Camila Matinez on this fantastic achievement and wishes her continued success in her academic endeavors and social engagement endeavors.
