Constructor University is excited to announce the successful conclusion of the Digital Azerbaijan Talent School 2024, an initiative that brought together some of the brightest young minds in Azerbaijan to strengthen the country’s IT ecosystem. In partnership with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), this ambitious program was designed to prepare students for international programming competitions such as the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), and to position Azerbaijan as a future leader in tech.

The program, designed to foster IT excellence, combined rigorous online learning with an intensive in-person bootcamp. The program featured two specialized tracks: the first track, Girls in IT, was aimed at boosting female participation in the tech sector and engaged 245 young women to provide them with essential IT skills. The second track, Advanced Computer Science Skills, was designed for students with programming experience, and prepared 367 students to tackle complex algorithmic challenges and high-level competitive programming tasks.

International experts, including Vladimir Sharich and Milica Puzic from Serbia, led the Girls in IT track, fostering a supportive environment where young women could excel. In parallel, Mladen Puzic from Serbia and Pavel Trufanov from Germany mentored students in the Advanced Computer Science Skills track, offering them cutting-edge insights into competitive programming and algorithm development.

"We were honored to teach such a motivated and talented group of students," said Olga Kornienko, Head of Student Talent Recruitment at Constructor University. "This program was an incredible opportunity to help them hone their skills and prepare for the global tech stage. Their dedication and drive have been truly inspiring. With great anticipation, we look forward to seeing their achievements on the international stage”

The Digital Azerbaijan Talent School 2024 has set a new standard for cultivating young IT talent in Azerbaijan, laying a foundation for future global representation. This year’s success demonstrated Azerbaijan's commitment to building a competitive, skilled workforce ready to drive the nation’s growing tech ecosystem. By focusing on both technical excellence and the broader development of the students' potential, this program has created a platform for long-term success. "The Digital Azerbaijan Talent School 2024 is a key initiative in preparing our brightest students for the IT challenges of tomorrow. These young talents are set to lead the way in Azerbaijan’s digital future,” Inara Valieva, Chairperson of IDDA, noted.
