Constructor University Bremen, in collaboration with its tool partner, JetBrains, and supported by its Romanian partner, the educational consultancy firm High Edu, is excited to announce the first International Intensive Training Camp for International Informatics and Computer Science Olympiads in Romania. The camp will bring together 44 talented high school students for an intensive program from July 30 to August 9 in Brașov County, Romania.

The participants, who excelled at national and international informatics Olympiads from 12 countries, including Romania, were selected from 250 candidates through a rigorous process that evaluated their academic performance and technical skills. The initiative aims to provide participants with unique opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in a stimulating and competitive environment. It will include mentoring sessions, practical workshops, and internal competitions, all supported by university professors, informatics experts, and IT industry specialists. Constructor University Bremen and JetBrains Foundation fully cover all student participation expenses, including accommodation, meals, and study materials.

”We are happy to empower these students with the resources and support needed to excel in their fields,” said Oznur Bell, Chancellor of Constructor University. “This initiative not only highlights the critical role of international partnerships in education and technology but also drives forward the innovation that is essential for our collective future."

Andrey Ivanov, SVP of Investments, Research and Education at JetBrains, shared: “Supporting computer science education has been integral to our mission for two decades. When we visited Romanian schools and universities, we saw tremendous potential in local students, who consistently excel in math and programming Olympiads. That's why we partnered with Constructor University to unite local talents with their international peers and provide access to top-tier instructors. By investing in these bright minds, we want to nurture individual talent and contribute to the global tech community.”

The Romanian educational consultancy firm High Edu played an important role in the logistical organization as the project’s local partner, ensuring the success of this large-scale event. “We are extremely honored to be partners in a project representing such an extraordinary opportunity for talented young people from many countries to develop and maximize their potential in a competitive and inspiring environment,” stated Nona Colfescu, Business Development Manager of High Edu Consulting. “We strongly believe that investment in education and support for young talents are essential for the future development of our society and for global technological progress.”
