As part of its ongoing development, Constructor University is entering a new phase of strategic growth. At its most recent meeting, the Board of Governors confirmed several new members in its rank, welcoming distinguished personalities from the fields of Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science, as well as Higher Education and Education Policies. Oznur Bell, who has played a key role in shaping the university’s trajectory as Chancellor, is transitioning into the role as Chairwoman of the Board of Governors, where she will continue to work with the university in a more strategic capacity. Succeeding her as chancellor is Turgut Tülü, an accomplished academic leader with an impressive track record in education. Joining Constructor University from his previous role as Chancellor at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, he brings valuable experience that will further drive the institution’s growth and impact.
“Fostering innovation in education has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve been so proud to witness Constructor’s evolution in the past couple years since my journey began. The innumerable accomplishments of our students, staff, and researchers have always been a great source of pride for me to witness,” Bell stated in her farewell message as outgoing chancellor. She highlighted some of the university’s recent successes, with a special emphasis on its growing international network of partner institutions and the increasing number of students joining Constructor University from around the globe. In addition to her position at Constructor University, which she has held since 2023, Bell is CEO of Constructor Knowledge and Chairwoman of the Board at the Constructor Institute of Technology in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. She has worked in education since 2013 and has played a key role in founding and developing educational institutions around the world.
Bell expressed her satisfaction with the university’s progress in recent years, and confidence in Tülü’s abilities to continue this successful course: “Having witnessed his skills and accomplishments, I am confident his invaluable knowledge and prior experience as a university Chancellor will take our university into a promising and ambitious future.” Since 2017, Tülü has served as Chancellor at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, becoming the youngest chancellor of a university in Germany. He earned a BSc in Science Teaching at Marmara University and an MBA in Marketing and Brand Management at Bahcesehir University in Istanbul. Today, Tülü is the CEO of BAU Higher Education Service gGmbH and Ugur Bildungsgesellschaft GmbH, both Berlin-based educational institutions. In addition, he is Founder and CEO of Mentora Gymnasium Berlin, which operates under Ugur Bildungsgesellschaft. Tülü will assume his position at Constructor University on March 1st.
Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Tülü stated, "Constructor University stands out as a truly global institution, bringing together talent from all over the world to create an inspiring academic environment. I am thrilled to be joining at such a pivotal moment, as we embark on an exciting new phase with the university’s ambitious masterplan.
