Georgiana Ciobotaru Wins 2015 DAAD Prize
September 4, 2015 Georgiana Ciobotaru, MSc-student in International Logistics, wins the prestigious DAAD-prize 2015 (German Academic Exchange Service), worth 1000 Euro. Each year the DAAD honors a non-German Jacobs University student for outstanding academic achievements as well as for social and intercultural commitment. Georgiana started her Bachelor studies programm at Jacobs University in 2011 and has been active in the Jacobs community from day one. She is a member of several clubs and initiatives fostering especially intercultural communication and political participation. Off campus she represents Bremen and its logistic industry as a “VIA Bremen Logistic Ambassador”. At the moment, Georgiana does an internship with Google in Romania and is keen to find a job in humanitarian logistics. “I see myself on the field, focusing all my support and my knowledge for the reconstruction of disaster-affected places and infrastructure and for rebuilding the lives of the most unfortunate people.“
