Grow your network: Startup Competition at Jacobs University Bremen
March 11, 2019
Get inspired by business ideas that could hardly be more diverse: Ranging from a new screening instrument for the detection of anaemia and a recycling platform to a financial innovation that makes microsystems possible for as little as two euros. But which idea is the most convincing? This will be decided on 15th and 16th March in the final of the Jacobs Startup Competition on the campus of the international university in Bremen-Nord, to which you are cordially invited.
The Startup competition is organized by students of Jacobs University on their own initiative. The organization team has received almost 160 applications from all over the world in recent months: The ten best concepts will soon be presented on campus. The list of participants is long and includes students from the United States, Israel, Sri Lanka, Spain, Malaysia and England. Teams from Braunschweig, Magdeburg, Berlin and Jacobs University will also be taking part.
At the two-day meeting, the teams get the opportunity to receive feedback and suggestions on their projects from experienced mentors. In workshops, experts provide tips for successful start-ups, and the young founders can exchange ideas with entrepreneurs and potential investors. The highlight of the Jacobs Startup Competition is the presentation of the individual concepts to an expert audience and the concluding award ceremony. The winners will receive prize money amounting to 4500 euros.
Those who would like to be part of this event and are interested in innovative ideas and up-and-coming start-ups are cordially invited. Guests have the opportunity on 16th March starting 12 p.m. to follow the presentations of the finalists and keynote speakers as well as exchange ideas with personalities from the startup scene during networking breaks and at the afterparty. Tickets cost 15 Euro.
