International counselors visit Constructor University
A two-day program lay ahead of the university counselors from all over the world when they traveled to Bremen on April 27th. The annual "Counselor Fly-in" was organized by Sofana Rojas, Head of Student Recruitment at Constructor University in Bremen.
On the first day, the international guests got to know the entire recruitment team and received an insight into the vision and mission of the university from Managing Director Öznur Bell. Furthermore, there were presentations on the cooperation with the local industry as well as from the Alumni Office and the Career Service. A highlight was the campus tour, during which various student start-ups were visited and the guests were able to talk to Constructor University students. There was also information on student financing and living and housing on campus.
“It was great to spend so much time with the Recruitment and Admissions team and also to have the opportunity to talk at length with students and professors. I learned a lot about Constructor University and think the campus and learning environment is fantastic,” said one of the counselors.
On the second day, the visitors from 16 different countries also had many opportunities to engage with university staff and got to know the study programs and academic offerings. The sporting aspect was not neglected either, because in the afternoon there was a "Funtastic Football Tournament", before they went back to the city center for a city tour. All in all, everyone agreed that it was a successful visit: “I was most impressed by the students - it was great to hear how much they have grown in their studies here in Bremen. In addition, we had plenty of time to explore the campus and get an impression of the surroundings ourselves. The meeting was very well organized and the staff friendly, open and transparent.”
The aim of the “Counselor Fly-in” is to give university counselors from high schools as much insight as possible into life and studies at Constructor University, so that they can give their students a clear picture of whether and why the international university in Bremen is a good option for them. The Constructor University team is already looking forward to next year's meeting.
