Jacobs Career Fair 2018: Where companies find international talent
February 23, 2018
International enterprises present themselves just like startups, non-profit-making organizations or regionally oriented companies. On February 28, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., the Jacobs Career Fair brings together students with potential employers. The fair is open not only to students of Jacobs University but also to students of other universities in the state of Bremen. Admission is free.
Among the exhibitors are AB InBev, Porsche, Barry Callebaut, Roche, Dräger, Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ, and Marum or Alfred-Wegener-Institut. A special feature is the fact that some of the exhibiting startups are founded by Jacobs alumni in Germany and other countries. The annual Jacobs Career Fair is facilitating contacts between students of Jacobs University and potential employers from the widest range of areas. Many talks led to the signing of agreements for internships and entry level positions.
The Jacobs Career Fair has grown into a popular networking platform for exhibitors, students, and numerous alumni. The program consists of various workshops and sessions on career related topics. Experienced experts from the human resources personnel area, including numerous Jacobs alumni, provide first-hand insight and answer questions about application strategies, entrepreneurship and labor market needs.
