New scholarship contract at Jacobs University: The Jacobs University Foundation of America (JUFA) will annually provide a stipend from 2016 until 2021. Emeritus Professor Raymond O. Wells, President of the foundation and one of the co-founders of the university, and Professor Katja Windt, President of Jacobs University, have now signed a contract. “We are very pleased about this beautiful sign of relatedness with our university”, Windt says. The Claus Halle scholarship is an endowed scholarship to honor the life and accomplishments of Claus M. Halle. Mr. Halle was an international business executive and philanthropist who was a major supporter of international education and cultural understanding. Mr. Halle was one of the founding Board members of JUFA and provided significant contributions to both JUFA and Jacobs University. The first Claus Halle Scholarship was awarded in 2008. The Jacobs University Foundation of America is a non-profit organization in the United States with the mission of supporting an international English language university in Bremen. Activities in the US include for example fundraising, sponsorship of scholarships for the university and alumni outreach. In addition to the Claus Halle Scholarship, JUFA has established the first ever endowed scholarship fund driven by Alumni contributions.
