Looking for internships, student jobs or job offers; receiving information on career events, viewing company profiles or job videos: With the start of the new academic year in fall 2019, Jacobs University’s Career Services Center is cooperating with the career platform JobTeaser. Through this cooperation, the students of the private university not only receive individually tailored information for their career entry but also get the chance to network with Jacobs University’s alumni who represent their employers on JobTeaser.

The platform is also interesting for companies since it enables them to contact young talents in a targeted and uncomplicated manner. Being able to view CVs, editing career events and posting job offers are just some examples. JobTeaser is a French company. The platform is used by over 600 universities, 2.5 million students and over 70,000 employers throughout Europe.

"As a practice-oriented and internationally aligned university, JobTeaser's cross-national presence is of particular importance to us. It supports our students from over 110 countries on their personal career path," says Predrag Tapavicki, Head of Alumni and Career Services at Jacobs University. "We are delighted that our students will find a complete digital solution for recruiting events, career fairs and international internships bundled on their smartphones. With this platform, students, alumni and employers will take a step towards each other".

The cooperation between JobTeaser and universities aims to create an ecosystem in which employers, universities and colleges as well as students and alumni can find all career-relevant aspects, formats and helpful tools in a common platform. One of the event formats is the "JobTeaser Campus Tour", which took place for the fifth time in September 2019 – always at different universities. Companies and universities exchange information on the latest trends in employer branding, career guidance, recruiting at universities, the future of work and forms of cooperation between universities and employers. "JobTeaser is the leading platform for students in Germany and Europe when it comes to career guidance. We bring all players together at one table to understand the career needs of young talents and offer them orientation in the form of relevant content," explains Svenja Rausch, Head of Marketing Germany at JobTeaser.

Jacobs University supports this initiative by hosting "JobTeaser Campus Tour" in spring of 2020, which will primarily involve companies and universities from Bremen and northern Germany.
