Joint Research Project on the Increase of Innovation Capabilities of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

February 9, 2016 Within the next three years seven project partners including four universities and three business partners work on the project DETHIS – Design Thinking for Industrial Services. The projects main goal is to enable and promote a lasting and significant enhancement of the innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized businesses that provide industrial services. Therefore, the project develops and evaluates a design-thinking approach that is specifically designed for industrial services and a supportive computer-based innovation platform. The team of Prof. Dr. Christoph Lattemann, Jacobs University Bremen gGmbH, works on how to adapt, apply and extend the Design Thinking method within the context of industrial services and develops the basis for the computer-based innovation platform as a result of the project. Next to Jacobs University Bremen gGmbH (project coordinator) further partners of the project are Technische Universität Braunschweig, Universität Bremen, Universität Duisburg-Essen, HPKJ Hydraulik-Pneumatik-Kontor Jade GmbH, Kothes!
