Besieged booths, more than 1100 visitors: the second Jacobs University Career Fair under the patronage of Bremen/Bremerhaven Chamber of Trade was a resounding success. No less than 31 exhibitors including companies like Microsoft, 360 T/Deutsche Börse Group, AB InBev, Evonik Industries and DMK Deutsche Milchkontor as well as numerous academic institutions, came to engage with students and seek out young new talent.  The first ever Jacobs Alumni Startup Corner was also surrounded by crowds. There, graduates who have started up their own businesses told visitors about their experiences as young entrepreneurs, and canvassed for new staff too. The work of the alumni was impressive in other ways. Some contributed their knowledge in seven workshops on career-related themes – demonstrating the close collaboration between different academic year groups at Jacobs University. The subsequent Network Reception for exhibitors, professors, and invited guests was also a success. More than 100 delegates were able to continue their discussions there.
