It has become a tradition that Bremen choirs and vocal ensembles sing together for a good cause. This year, J-Cappella, the international choir of Jacobs University Bremen, will also take part in the charity concert of the St. Stephani church Bremen and the Bremen Choir ensemble d'accord. The concert will take place on Thursday, February 20 at 19:30 h in the Kulturkirche St. Stephani Bremen. All proceeds will go to humanitarian projects.

Ten different choirs will present a diverse program with music from different countries and time periods. "Supporting humanitarian projects with music - that's really great," says Rucsandra Popescu, who has been directing J-Cappella since 2008, "we are delighted to be part of it this year.”

The proceeds of the charity concert will be donated to the non-profit association SOS Mediterranee. The organisation is dedicated to the rescue of shipwrecked people in the Mediterranean Sea and is financed by donations. Between the concerts, SOS Mediterranee will talk about its work and will be available for questions and suggestions at an information booth.
