"Continuum – Traces of Life in the Hands of Time" is this year's theme of the ArtFest, which will take place on April 1 and 2 on the campus of the English-speaking Jacobs University in Bremen. For the fifth time, students called on local, national and international artists to submit their art in any form to depict the impact of time on our lives.

What do we achieve within a lifetime? Why do we perceive time differently? How do we use the changes that time brings? By asking these and other questions about the topic, the organizers hope to explore how time affects different aspects of life, bringing unanticipated changes that motivate us to live meaningful lives.

Around 100 submissions, ranging from paintings, sculpture and photography to poetry, theater, dance and film, will be displayed at the Arts and Culture Center in three sections – Humanity, Innovation, Perception – which are subthemes of the main theme. In order to provide a platform especially for international artists, also digital components such as projections, sound, or video will be presented.

On the days of the event visitors can look forward to a colorful program of workshops, guided tours and performances, which will be published shortly before the event. Admission is free.
