November Events Recap

November Events Recap

From academic fairs and athletic victories to cultural festivities and nostalgic nights in TOS, November was a month enriched with a variety of events. Whether it's dancing in a haunted lair or looking for future academic opportunities, there was something for everyone!

November 2: The Ball of the Damned

To end the spooky month of October on a memorable note, we started November with The Ball of the Damned. TOS turned into an eerie hall full of Halloween decorations with themed spaces such as Frankenstein’s haunt and the skeleton altar DJ station. The students took their costumes to the next level, channeling their inner cartoon characters like the Smurfs and Phineas and Ferb, the iconic Bremen Town Musicians, and classic Halloween characters like Dracula, Ghostface, and zombies. This party set the tone for the exciting month of November.

November 4: Freimarkt

The final day of Bremen’s legendary Freimarkt marked the end of its incredible 989th year, bringing centuries of tradition and festive spirit to life once again. The lights, sounds, and mouth-watering smells were a sensory overload. The beer tents were the perfect spot to relax after a dizzying ride and drink with friends. With corn on the cob, currywurst with fries, glühwein to warm us up, and traditional candied nuts, the food scene was unforgettable. Every year Freimarkt brings everyone together, so hopefully, we will see you next year as well.

November 5: Study Abroad Fair

For students considering studying abroad, the Study Abroad Fair was the perfect opportunity to gather essential information and explore their options. The International Office provided expert advice on the application processes and requirements. Students ended up asking thoughtful questions, giving and receiving great feedback. With the knowledge and support gained at the fair, many of them were on their way to making their study abroad dreams a reality in the upcoming academic year.

November 6: Gym Cheer Up

Motivation and feeling good in every way is what fitness is all about. That being said, if you thought fitness can’t be fun, I bet the gym cheer up changed your mind. Students participated in push-up challenges, obstacle courses, partner activities, and a Kahoot game that brought a bit of competition. The positive vibe was contagious, whether you go to the gym daily or never, everyone had a smile on their faces.

November 11: Bolashak Fellows Welcome Event

Welcoming 23 scholars from Kazakhstan through the Bolashak International Scholarship program to contribute their knowledge and expertise in varieties of fields, was an enrichment for our campus academically and culturally. By celebrating the value of international connections, gatherings like these encourage cooperation and widen inspiring viewpoints in our community.

November 15: Basketball Home Game

Our Constructor University Men’s Basketball team brought their A-game against Uni Bremen, winning 77-46. The crowd was cheering and supporting the team, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere. If you weren’t there this time, don’t worry there are many upcoming games to enjoy.

November 22: Master Programs Fair

For students considering their next academic steps, the Master Programs Fair was a goldmine of information. Each program had a booth with representatives ready to answer questions about admissions, financing, and more. Study Program Chairs gave quick pitches that made it easy to understand what each master’s program at Constructor University had to offer.

November 22: Sync and Sound

We ended the month on a high note with Sync and Sound, a student-run charity event on campus. Amazing singers, drummers, violinists, and guitarists took the stage honoring music from the 2000s and 2010s. Everyone was singing along and soaking up the energy of a nostalgic evening. This was the perfect way to end the captivating month of November.

November flew by, but there was always something happening, whether it was dancing at The Ball of the Damned, supporting our basketball team, or getting to know the Bolashak Fellows. With the nostalgic Sync and Sound show, we came to a satisfying conclusion. What a month!
