Asian University for Women
This webinar is a part of an Innovative Universities Global Webinar Series.
Since its founding in 2008 in Chittagong, Bangladesh, the Asian University for Women (AUW) has become a unique presence in Asia's higher education landscape. It provides educational opportunities for women from diverse backgrounds. Initially ideated by Kamal Ahmad as a high-quality liberal arts university for women, AUW now offers a wide range of programs, from pre-undergraduate to master's degrees, covering various subjects. Through innovative programs and partnerships with NGOs, AUW strives to find new ways of identifying and recruiting students from marginalized groups across Asia. With successful graduates from nineteen different countries, making advances in academia, government, NGOs and the corporate sector, AUW remains committed to their values of a liberal arts institution, maintaining high academic standards for its diverse student body. AUW’s ambitious plans build on its dedication to make a lasting societal impact in Asia, and throughout the world
