Constructor University offers workshop on AI for girls in Uzbekistan
To acquire new talent from around the globe and to offer access to a field of studies that is one of the most sustainable and future-oriented - Artificial Intelligence - Constructor University continued its Roadshow, travelling to Uzbekistan. On May 4th and 5th interested students were invited to join an exciting workshop on AI.
The Constructor University Roadshow is aimed at establishing new synergies with international universities, promoting Constructor activities worldwide and collaborating with new talents in their fields. Whilst the first stop of the Roadshow was Budapest and took place in March, the university now continued the tour, travelling to Tashkent, Uzbekistan to cooperate with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Technology and the GoAbroadUZ Agency, conducting a workshop that revolved around the topic of Artificial Intelligence.
The two-day Workshop “AI for Girls by Constructor University" was held at the Medion Academy in Tashkent on May 4th & 5th. Workshop topics included brain structures, functionalities and information processing. 30 highly talented, female high school students dove into the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, receiving a certificate at the end of the course.
“This Workshop is an amazing opportunity to tap into the young talent of Uzbekistan and we are thrilled by the engagement surrounding the topic of artificial intelligence among young students here,” said Olga Kornienko, Head of Talent Recruitment at Constructor University.
Oznur Zer, Chief Operating Officer of Constructor University, is equally excited about this opportunity: “AI offers so much potential and will do so even more in the future. We are aiming to open up new perspectives and empower students, especially female students that are typically underrepresented in this area, to dive into this field of knowledge and become well-rounded, innovative, young leaders of tomorrow.”
Beyond the Workshop, the University is also promoting its new Summer Camp, where interested students (ages 16-19) from Uzbekistan were invited to take part. The Summer Camp is aimed at providing pupils the chance to get an impression of studying and living at Constructor University. The camp will run from July 29th to August 9th. Registrations are open until May 15th.
