University College Freiburg - A Learning Community
This webinar is a part of an Innovative Universities Global Webinar Series.
University College Freiburg was founded in 2012 with the goal of building a Liberal Education-based learning community. The context for this endeavor is the University of Freiburg, a public German research university, and a higher education system characterized by massification, academic specialization, and research orientation.
UCF has successfully maneuvered the intricacies of higher education politics and bureaucracy and established an interdisciplinary, internationally and student-oriented Liberal Arts and Sciences program. Beyond recognition in the Freiburg context, the broader impact is becoming more apparent, e.g., via our graduates or new Liberal Education initiatives in Germany.
