
Below you can find all the details about the application requirements, application procedure and program fees. We are excited that you are considering applying for our International Foundation Year program and are looking forward to receiving your complete application!
We welcome applications from all students who fulfill the following:
- High school diploma or local equivalent
- English language skills (B1 level of the European Framework)
The application process is selective and seeks out motivated students who show both the intellectual and social potential to thrive in a diverse international study environment.
Please note: We cannot accept O-Levels or AS-Levels as an entrance qualification.

To complete your online application, you will need the following:
- Copy of your original high school certificate and transcripts of the last 2-3 years (predicted grades are accepted at the time of application)
- A personal motivation statement
- Proof of English language proficiency; B1 level of the European Framework, minimum score of 45 on the TOEFL iBT / 4.5 on the IELTS / 140 (C) on the Pearson PTE Academic / 43 on the Cambridge Certificate (FCE) / 65 on the Duolingo English test
- Your Education History Form
- Official recommendation letter from a high school counsellor or a teacher on letterheaded paper (optional/upon request)
We will carefully review your application, check if you submitted all necessary documents and if you are eligible to apply to the program.
Assuming your application is successful, we will send you a conditional offer for the program.
To accept a place in the program, you will need to submit the enrollment confirmation form and pay a deposit. The offer letter will contain the deposit amount.
You will then need to apply for your visa if applicable. With your admission letter, you are provided with a visa letter “Zulassungsbescheid” which you will need to complete your visa application. Students who require a visa for Germany should apply as soon as possible as the visa process takes time. Our visa specialists are also here to guide you and support you during the process. Advance payment of remaining fees will be required prior to your visa appointment.
Your student contract contains all relevant rights and obligations as a student at Constructor University. Review your individualized version of the student contract very carefully, sign it and send it back.

**There are different room types on campus, depending on availability:
Type C room (shared room, shared bathroom): 4,000 EUR
Type B room (single room, shared bathroom): 5,500 EUR

I am originally from the Republic of Moldova, but I also lived, worked, and studied in the USA, Mexico, Spain, and Germany. I have a BA in Economics focusing on International Politics and Policy, a BA in Spanish, and an MA in Multilingualism and Education. I am interested in foreign languages, learning about new cultures, and connecting with people worldwide. Outside work, I like books, adventure tourism, traveling, and being in nature.
